Vinted Users Express Displeasure Regarding Size Updates
Shoppers are voicing their frustration due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing.
The popular resale platform has revised its size classifications for women's and children's garments but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.
Online Platforms Reaction
Numerous buyers and vendors are posting online saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification versus the original listing due to the recalibration.
Vinted explained the revised method more closely matches similar services.
The platform has recommended to examine their items and update the measurements by hand when needed, causing user dissatisfaction.
Measurement Approach Changes
Earlier, the sizing featured a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who produces content about larger sizing, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Another user, from Glasgow, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she stated.
Necessary Adjustments
A different user, based in Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she stated.
Platform Context
The platform boasts over 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has emerged as a preferred choice to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, the platform withdrew an update to its shipping options due to shopper criticism.
